Jackson Darby | Personal Touch | NPNP (Nov 21, 2024)

Jackson Darby is a multi-media artist, producer, engineer and DJ. Having been active in numerous collaborative projects such as Persons, Freaky Boos and MAW Collective his primary solo endeavour is called NPNP.
With a BFA in Electroacoustics from Concordia University his audio background is largely in multi-channel composition, sound sculpture and installation however more recently his focus is on heavy ambient, unique approaches to jazz and electroacoustics. 
He currently lives and works in Montreal, QC where he runs a lathe cutting business called Personal Touch and acts as the label head for Personal Records and Cold Cache Records.

Ashton Price is a Toronto based music producer whose company, Morph Productions, has been involved in a many local and international projects for over 25 years.
Based off of this success Ashton Price decided to branch out and release his own music under the moniker, “This Boy Electric” while continuing his work with other artists at his studio.

Tarek Funk is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, emcee, and political activist. He performs with various groups, including Soulquarium, and has collaborated on numerous hip hop projects with artists like Cee Reality and Lee Reed, among others.
Today, Tarek joins StereoRuss to share his journey, talk funk, and discuss how we can become more engaged citizens while supporting those in need.

Matt Paxton & The Pintos (Oct 17, 2024)

Over the past several years, Matt Paxton has performed his sizable folk-rock and alt-country repertoire across Canada, in the process gaining a reputation as one of the country's most promising up-and-coming singer-songwriters. Paxton's solo body of work now includes five albums, a handful of singles and EPs, and notable live appearances with the likes of Daniel Lanois, Blackie & The Rodeo Kings, Astrid Young, Evan Dando, and many more.
His new band, The Pintos, consisting of bassist Carrie Clark, drummer Robin Pirson and pedal steel maestro Chris Altmann, join StereoRuss on Inside the Music to share some stories and talk about their latest release "Tornado", as well as their upcoming tours.

Izzi Ahmed is a multi instrumentalist from Hamilton, Ontario, playing in Soulquarium and The Checkerboards. Izzi also hosts a variety of events in the city.
